Walk to the Park
Eric | December 18th, 2005 | 8:57 pmAngela and I took a walk on Saturday to David Jones to check out the food market in the basement. David Jones is an upscale department store, for those of you in the States. The market carries pastries, meats, assorted sauces, and even has a few restaurants. It’s quite nice, but the weekend before Xmas was probably not the best time to go.
On our way back home we took a diversion through the Botanic Gardens and Circular Quay (pronounced “Key”). Here are some pictures from our walk:

As we walked out of the Park and into the Circular Quay, a whole bunch of people were all dressed up in tuxes and evening dresses. There was a small red train taking them out around the quay. Kinda silly, but the best dressed train I had ever seen.

A the top of some stairs, we came across this emblem for the Golden Fleece.
As we came across the fountains in Hyde Park, we noticed that someone had some holiday fun with one of the statues. Pretty cute.
