Garfish

Angela | March 1st, 2006 | 10:57 pm

This weekend was equally lazy, apart from the eating. We went to a great little restaurant on Friday evening after work with my coworkers Lauren and Alex. Called Garfish, it is located in a neighborhood charmingly named Crows Nest. It was a bistro-type restaurant, open to the street on two sides, and offered a list of the freshest locally-caught fish, prepared to your liking and paired with your choice of side dish. I had what I think was called Blue Dory, which was served skin on (yes, it was blue), perched on top of a slice of fried polenta and roasted pumpkin. Eric had the Salmon. Perfectly prepared all around. Great ambience, and the wait staff didn’t seem to mind that we lingered over coffee for ages.
